I guess when you’re hall monitor, you have to leave your feelings in your locker.

Went out on another group ride today, but this time with Green Valley Cyclists. Had to get up a little earlier than usual to get to the rendezvous by 6:00 a.m. The earlier start was nice to help beat the heat.

Rode out to do the Lake Las Vegas Parkway loop which went much better for me this time than the last two times I’ve been out there. Made a brief stop at Le Cafe Du Lac for refreshments and a stretch before heading back.

Ride back was awesome. Worked with Dave and lead the group back. Was feeling strong until the climb up to Wigwam along Arroyo Grande from American Pacific. That climb really just did my legs in and I had to fall back and let Dave lead a small lead back in.

After a short break at Starbucks I set off with a small group heading my direction towards home. Was nice chill ride until I lost the last of the guys at the entrance to Anthem Country Club. By that point it was short ride the rest of the way home.
