And a more offensive spectacle I cannot recall.

One of the locals advertised a group ride early this morning that was described as “a nice chill 30 mile loop”. Thought “why not?” and rode down to Lifetime Green Valley to meet up. Figured I’d head on to work when we were done. What I failed to realize was that a “chill” ride for someone who rides in the A group is a regular B group performance.

Overall ride was great even though I kept worrying about getting dropped at any second. Did my best to keep my cadence high and keep spinning. As usual I had the greatest difficulty on the climbs. Thankfully Horizon Ridge was at the very start so my legs were still fresh. Then there was a clockwise Lake Las Vegas loop which I feel is more difficult than counter clockwise. Finally there was the steady climb along Galleria.

Had to leave Max and Vicky at Gibson to continue on to work. Kept with Warm Springs all the way to Pecos where I picked up my regular commute route. Rolled into the office at 8 straight up none the worse for wear.
