Commute Loop – 2022.01.13

Commute in was much more tame than yesterday, but the commute home I did have another close encounter.

Was flying east bound on Harmon approaching Eastern. Pretty typical, lately, the light was green but there was still some traffic just getting started. I come flying up along side traffic in the bike lane and the lead car looks like they’re waiting for me to clear them. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as they were waiting for a pedestrian. As my luck would have it, right as I start to get along side them they start rolling because the pedestrian had made it halfway across Eastern. Thankfully, the SUV behind them started honking to get the driver’s attention and it worked. Only had to make a minor dodge before continuing down Harmon. Same SUV came by me and I made sure to give them an enthusiastic wave.

Little bump to the east was for a quick stop in to Trek. I had placed an order for some replacement parts and the only way to get them is to go into the store and order them in person. Order went in on Sunday and they showed up on Tuesday, but today was the first day I could plan to get over there.

Nothing much else to report. Now for a shower and relaxing for the rest of the evening.
