Commute Loop – 2024.09.25

Funny story on the way into the office this morning.

I was riding along Reno around Haven, and I looked over to see a metro motorcycle office sitting in a parking lot driveway. He brings up his radar/laser and starts tagging, what I assume, is a car behind me. I look over at him and make an exaggerated grasp for the brakes and act like I’m a driver freaking out that I’m going to get a speeding ticket. Just as I’m about to go past, I look over and see him crack a grin. It had me laughing all the way until Tropicana. Great way to start the day.

Ride home was a bear on account of the heat. Someone hasn’t keyed in Mother Nature that summer is over. I shouldn’t really complain because before I know it it’ll be time for leg warmers and, heaven forbid, thermal bibs. For now I’ll do my best to enjoy the slightly cooler weather before the cold actually arrives in earnest.
