Commute Loop – 2024.10.09

I’m still lugging around some fatigue from the weekend’s double century. With the implosion of the Tropicana earlier in the morning and my tired legs, I opted for the most direct route to and from work.

I find it funny that after becoming accustomed to taking the long way along Fieldbrook, Williamsport, and so on, how little I miss riding along Anthem Pkwy. In the past I always shared that I felt riding on Anthem Pkwy wasn’t a big deal, but now that I haven’t done it in several months I much prefer the alternative. I’m not one to be sensitive to traffic, but when given an alternative the quieter roads are certainly more enjoyable even if they tack on a few extra miles. On the flip side; however, having a more direct route to save miles and time certainly has its place. Having the extra time when I got home allowed me to do more packing for this weekend’s trip to Clovis.
