If I die in a cage, I lose a bet.

I wanted to get in a recovery spin this morning before checking out of the hotel, having breakfast, and hitting the road. Checked in with our Bass Lake group text to see if anyone else was interested and, seeing no other takers, went out solo.

Garmin Connect automatic route creation nailed it again. Nice chill neighborhood roads and nearly all had bike lanes. I even came across a stretch with a pylon protected bike lane. The highlight would definitely be the Clovis Old Town Trail. I’d wanted to only ride for an hour and the 17 mile route was perfect.

While riding along the Clovis Old Town Trail, I looked across the street and spotted Old Town Waffle Restaurant and knew where I’d be going for breakfast.

Great little Z1 ride to get some blood moving through the legs and work out some stiffness before the long drive home. The perfect way to cap off an amazing weekend.
