Today’s lesson kids is, “Always tether your computer”. This is the second time a tether has come in clutch and saved me some dough.
I was flying down Flamingo and hit a rough “patch” near Bruce. It isn’t a patch per se, but a trench that’s been temporarily paved over. I’ve hit this spot plenty of times in the past, but I must have hit a particularly nasty spot because both of the arms on my F3 Form Mount snapped. This sent both my Outbound Lighting Detour and Garmin tumbling. Thankfully, the Garmin was tethered to the bars saving both devices. I wrapped the mess around the bars as best I could in order to get to the dealership to pick up the truck. A new F3 mount is already on order.
