Oof chilly start to the week that’s for certain. Sure the temperature down at Reid Airport was reporting 42 degrees, but weather stations closer to home were showing closer to freezing. These readings were backed up by the ice I spotted in the gutter along Chateau Clermont St as I climbed towards Democracy.
Of course once I got down the hill and out onto Las Vegas Blvd I was opening my outer layer to let some of the cool in. Ended up a lot warmer than I would have liked. So hard to balance the layers with the temperatures. Then throw in the fact that I have to ride home as well and that adds another layer of complexity to the mix.
The ride to campus went really well. The ride home had me questioning my route. I had a pair of vehicles who couldn’t get in behind me before making their right turn which was annoying. Then there was some construction along Pecos. Just one of those evenings where I felt generally uneasy for much of the ride home. Not sure if it was the full moon or just a wacky evening. Anyway, things did eventually get better and I ended the evening on a good note.
