Another great morning for a ride. Overall everything went great, but once I was done I was dead. I was really struggling the last few miles. I did the same ride on Tuesday without issue.
My best guess is having a three day break gave me the extra energy to do the extra miles. I feel I’m to the point where I’m going to need to start eating something during my ride if I’m going to reach for more than 40 miles.
Once home I downed a Gatorade G2 (half the sugar) with some extra sugar added as well as a few Chips Ahoy cookies. After about 15-20 minutes I was feeling much much better. Relaxed on the couch for quite a while longer before jumping in the shower. Again, overall things went good just need to work on the food thing moving forward.
