Whole Damn Planet Wanted A Piece Of Me

New saddle day! Finally received the replacement saddle for my Domane. It matches the saddle I have on my commuter except that the padding is slightly slimmer and the nose narrower. Things started out good, but by the time I got to Via Inspirada and LVB I had to stop and make a minor adjustment. After that things felt amazing! So excited to have this bike fully dialed in.

Weather was pretty nice. My Garmin recorded temperatures ranging from 73°F down to 60°F. Went out with my regular summer attire adding only arm warmers. The combination was perfect for today’s conditions.

Didn’t really want to take a week off the bike, but in hindsight I’m glad I did. Mon/Tue were work from home days, Wed was the holiday, and I took Thur and tomorrow off as annual. All the commuting leaves my legs tired and sore by the time I get to the weekend, so taking a full week off really gave them the chance to recover. Waiting for my Tailfin to arrive so I can commute on the Domane and save my legs from the extra weight.

I left the house thinking I would do a short ride since I’d taken so much time off the bike. As I got into it and everything was feeling so good I decided to stretch it out a bit. I’ve been looking through some of my previous rides and noticed that I haven’t been along Pittman wash in a while so figured why not. Overall, everything went really well and was happy to have put some miles in.
