Morning Commute – 2021.05.26

Well that was ridiculously fun and fast, new fastest time, thanks to the crew over at Swanny’s Cycles. Got a call from Joseph that my Domane was ready for pickup with a new right shifter courtesy of Shimano’s warranty services. Zabi did a great job getting the shifter swapped out and even cleaned the drive-train. Bike felt brand new!

If you’re wondering what happened to my commute home on Monday, simply put it didn’t happen. I was wrapped up in a work project and wasn’t ready to leave until 8:00 p.m. While I was walking across campus back to my office I thought, “I could ride home in this! It’s beautiful out here!”. But I worried mental fatigue would make for an unsafe ride home.

I opted for the safer option of having the wife come get me. I had expected her to bring her car, but she surprised me with my car with the bike carrier. Loaded up Ares and enjoyed the drive home.
