Half Commute – 2022.03.02

Senior night at the Thomas & Mack means the last regular season basketball home game. Already have game day clothes stashed in the back of the kiddo’s car for when she gets here after school.

Ride in was nice. One advantage of always riding the same route is learning the traffic signal patterns. For example, I was rolling up on Blue Diamond and saw that the arrow for traffic turning west onto Blue Diamond had just turned green. I knew that meant my light for going north on LVB would be turning red soon. So I moved into the drops, got up out of the saddle, and burned a couple matches to make the light. The nice knock on from that is I then hit both Warm Springs and the 215 lights green as well.

Caught a nice pull from a van along LVB just before the Welcome to Las Vegas sign all the way to Russell. Made going through that construction zone a little more tolerable. Then again I think he stopped a little short at that light and I was just able to get stopped in time and not smash into the rear of him.

Anyway, ready for to start my day at the office and enjoy my evening at the basketball game before being driven home.
