Love me a nice rest day, but with no food in camp I had to make a trip into town. I used the park’s WiFi to find the nearest Starbucks and created a new route in Garmin Connect.
When I set off to leave I wanted to time it where I would get little to no head wind on the way in and get a tail wind on the way back. Before I left I took off both panniers which significantly lightened the load. I also went in my camp clothes instead of going in kit. Besides if I kitted up I would have to wash it once I got back.
Honestly everything went fine. Nice smooth ride in, enjoyable couple hours at Starbucks, another stop at Subway, and a nice ride back. Certainly didn’t have a tailwind like yesterday, but there was some help from Mother Nature.
Once I was back at camp spent the time reading my book. A nice relaxing evening for a big day tomorrow.
