Commute Loop – 2023.08.14

I gotta say that this route is rapidly becoming my favorite. I mean riding along Las Vegas Boulevard has been up there since I started riding it last year. Now that I’ve extended it out by joining it at Speed Vegas it is even more enjoyable. I really like that I get a few long stretches where I can just focus on being consistent. Now that I’m taking Harmon over to Pecos, I’ve been getting those same long stretches on the ride home as well. Win win as far as I’m concerned.

On the way in I got caught at the light at Las Vegas Blvd and Russell Rd. As I was sitting there I looked down and there was a decent chunk of change scattered in the gutter. I figured why not since I’m already stopped. I gathered it all up and it amounted to $0.23. Not too shabby. Add to that the quarter I found earlier and I had a decent day when it comes to the new bike fund!

I felt pretty good out there today. Made it home and still had some kick left in the legs. Now to relax a little, take in a shower, and crash out so I can go to work tomorrow.
