Commute Loop – 2024.05.22

Felt like garbage this morning. Most likely due to not going to bed until after 11 last night. Thankfully I felt better for the ride home, but the winds certainly didn’t make things easy.

Best part of the ride was the random Westerwiener spotting.

Was cursing along Pecos when I get a text message from the man himself that he’d just seen me go by. I send a quick reply and decide to pull over to see what’s going on. Come to find out our boy had a nasty slice through his tire and was waiting for a wife sag. I decided to double back to hang out until he got scooped up. Got to meet the family which was a treat. Hung out until they just had everything about loaded up and rolled out.

Rest of the ride went fine. Attempted a Soccer Field Hill sprint and dropped my chain at the top. I was out of the saddle when it happened and was lucky to not go down. I was also lucky to get it fixed without having to stop.
