Another tough Tuesday night ride. I felt pretty good all things considered. Dave mentioned that he’d “done some high intensity stuff this morning and I’m feeling it” and I could tell. He wasn’t pushing the pace quite as much as he regularly would. It really showed along the Lake Mead climb when I went around him just before Kettle Ridge and stayed in front until the top where we turned around.
Going with shorts and a light thermal jersey was the right call again. Once we warmed up and started pushing the pace it was a perfect combination. The few regroup stops would certainly start chilling you down pretty rapidly and some of the descents were tough. All in all I wouldn’t change anything for now.
Shout out to newcomer Terris. Stuart invited him during a recent Sunday PnP ride. I hope we didn’t scare him off!
