I am rather appalled at the limit of characters for this. I am certain that I cannot fit all my thoughts of thIs entire ride into such few cha.

Another Tuesday, another tough one, but a good time had by all.

Dave, Stuart, and I all left together at 6:15 to chase down the rest of the crew. Things started quick right off the bat. All three of us pushed the pace, caught a few key lights green, and started catching up with the tail of the group on Lake Mead approaching Kettle Ridge.

We continued up Lake Mead past North Park Drift Trail until it became Twilight Run Drive. The construction crews have moved the pylons from the intersection of Lake Mead and North Park Drift further up the road to just past a small service road which is just before a new guard shack and gate. The pylons had been moved last Tuesday, but on Saturday we ventured past North Park Drift to see how far up we could go. It was then we found the guard shack and were kindly asked by the guard on duty to turn around. This makes for a great climbing segment which is just shy of two miles long averaging 5.5% maxing at 8.7% with a total of around 480 ft of climbing when starting from DFH.

The three of us regrouped at Kettle Ridge and picked up Moose, who I didn’t even know was riding. I guess he showed up to PTs and rode off while I was in the bathroom or something. Regardless, the four of us rode together all the way back to PTs.

Another fun but hard Tuesday night ride. I’m kinda bummed because I’m not sure when I may get to do this ride next. School starts next week and my class schedule is a little up in the air. For one class I have to attend class in-person every other Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. What I have to do during the other week I won’t know until after the first in-person class next week.
