Absolutely beautiful morning for a ride. Getting out there before the heat of the day is awesome.
Stretched my ride out just a little more than Friday’s as I’m still getting back into the grove after my three week hiadus. Picked up a PR and a couple 2nd fastest times on a few segments. Most of those came from the fact that I had two gents pass me up on their road bikes, Trek Domanes I believe, and I just get a bug to try to keep up. Did pretty good until we started climbing Democracy. Just watched them pull away. It’s frustrating, but I have to remember these guys calves were as thick as my quads and their bikes are easily 20 pounds lighter than mine. Just need to keep putting in the miles and enjoying myself. Last weigh in I’m less than 10 pounds from my goal weight. Once I’m there I can start the process of getting an upgrade.
