Morning Commute – 2020.12.01

Another beautiful ride in this morning. Still chilly, but the gear is doing its job keeping me warm. Going to need replacement shoe covers sooner than later. Trying to use Castelli road shoe covers with Shimano MTB shoes didn’t work out so well. The hole for the cleats is pretty much destroyed and hanging together, quite literally, by a thread.

Felt really good on the bike, but having difficulty with the chamois on my thermal bibs. They’re new, a size down (L vs XL) from my summer bib shorts, and I’m having a hard time getting comfortable in the saddle. I hope it’s just a matter of getting them broken in combined with learning how to put them on and situated correctly.
