Commute Loop – 2023.03.09

Great way to wrap up the week. The ride in was a little chilly and required warm gloves and arm and leg warmers. Really digging riding along Arroyo Grande. Any road with new pavement AND a dedicated bike lane is awesome in my book.

For the ride home I decided to forgo the arm and leg warmers with the temperature in the mid 60s. Started out feeling great, but started getting a little chilled once I hit the St Rose and beltway area. By this time the winds were also starting to kick up and right into my face. Anthem Pkwy felt dicey just before Hampton along the exposed portion. Had to abort my typical Somersworth turn due to traffic and took Solera Moon instead. Little more climbing than I would have liked but you can’t win them all.

Now to finish packing for vacation and enjoying the next week off the bike. Will be some much welcomed rest for the ole legs and mind.
