Commute Loop – 2023.05.08

Big baller bringing home the BIG money today.

Had a good time on the way in. Was flying down Pecos again with a nice tail wind pushing me along. Even nabbed me a KOM for my troubles. It only took a tail wind and a pull from a Ford Focus, but hey I’ll take what I can get.

Ride home was going great until some jerk cut a corner way too close and nearly hit me. They were within a foot’s distance easily. It was bad enough that I had to stop for a few minutes to gather my thoughts. What makes it particularly frustrating is it was in a sleepy neighborhood. There was no reason for them to be so close to my side of the road. I’d guess they were withing 4-6 feet of the inside curb while taking their left. Thankfully I’m no worse for wear and after my break rode the rest of the way home.
