The fittest of the fittest shall survive!

No better way to start the morning than a quick spin around the neighborhood. I didn’t sleep very well last night. I went to bed around 8:30 and woke up about four hours later and for a while I worried I would fall back to sleep. The stomach was still freaking out from the herculean effort from earlier in the day. Thankfully everything settled down enough to give me another four hours of sleep before waking up for the restroom. I then laid around another 30 minutes or so drifting in and out until I finally just got up.

The calves were feeling awfully tight so I figured I’d be best served by hitting the bike for an hour long recovery ride. Was nice to just noodle around the neighborhood for an hour. I eventually got into riding a weird circle eight type route. I particularly enjoyed the stints along Nevada Power Trail. I really need to get into the habit of a chill recovery ride on Sundays before breakfast with the little darling.
