This is another one that is somewhat of a blur. I know that I rode to the start solo, but I can’t remember why no one joined me. Once we were at the start we had to call an audible because the weather looked awful in Boulder City. Then even as we left thinking of riding up into Anthem, I looked over my shoulder and the weather there was looking frightful. Eventually, we’d lead everyone over to Mountain’s Edge instead. This had the added benefit of the wind remaining a cross wind versus a headwind. We got split into separate groups, but all made it back to PTs with time to spare and hang out. When PTs was done a group of us rode out to Boulder City anyway since the skies and weather had improved. We certainly battled some winds, but they weren’t terrible. Joy and I split from the rest of the group at Acacia Park to continue along the trail. We had a great ride south along Bermuda while enjoying a tailwind to finish the day with our centuries in tow.
