Commute Loop – 2024.03.11

It was almost warm enough to ride in without leg warmers. I seriously considered it while watching the morning news, and then I remembered it is always cooler at my house than down on the valley floor. Glad I went with rather than without.

Had a great tailwind for the ride in. Nothing better than flying down Las Vegas Blvd north of the M Casino at 30+ MPH in zone 2. I smiled all the way to work knowing that I’d have to suffer through a headwind for the ride home. Thankfully it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, which is always a plus.

Nice day for a commute. I don’t like the idea of having to use my headlight in the morning, but I do enjoy riding home with the sun still up. Pretty soon I’ll be complaining about mid-80s leaving the house and 110s on the way home. Until that time I’m going to enjoy the weather while it lasts.
