Very excited to get out there today. I had planned on riding on Sunday but the weather absolutely refused to cooperate. Winds were steady at 30 MPH with gusts up to 50 MPH and some parts of the valley had 60+. No way was I riding in that kind of wind. Thought about riding yesterday, but I already had work obligations.
So today it was and the weather was absolutely beautiful. Very minor breeze that made things really nice.
Really stretched my legs and put on some miles. This was my longest ride since April, and I feel surprisingly well. I was worried when I was done I would be absolutely trashed, but that wasn’t the case. Very interesting to ride Horizon Ridge from East to West considering I’d never done it before. The incline wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Looking forward to doing more rides like this in the future.
