Someone just put the ‘neato’ in incognito!

Saw this ride posted a few days ago and was excited to ride in a group again after taking last weekend off.

I mentioned on the ride thread that I’d be riding over from Anthem and looking for anyone to join along. Joy took me up on the offer and we met up at the new 7-Eleven at the round-a-bout at Via Inspirada and Bicentennial. While I waiting for her to roll up I caught, what I thought, was an amazing sunrise.

Joy and I set out around 6:30 heading for the ride start at Mountain’s Edge Park. We didn’t get very far before the sky absolutely popped off. Looking back over our shoulders we were both in awe of how stunningly beautiful the sunrise was. It was truly amazing. I first noticed it around the Haas construction site and it lasted until we cleared Bermuda. I wish every ride could start with such beauty.

We rolled up to the park just a few minutes late, but we weren’t the last to arrive. Found a decent sized group and it didn’t take long before we were rolling out.

Overall ride went really well and I’m surprised I felt as good as I did. Considering how many miles I’d put on earlier this week I was worried my legs would be trash. Thankfully they showed up ready to ride and I had a blast. Already thinking about doing a noodle ride tomorrow!
