Commute Loop – 2022.11.21

Great ride in this morning despite the cold. All it takes is enough layers.

Ride home went really well, but I did have a close call. I was riding south on Sandy Ridge stopped at the light at Sunridge Heights. The light turned green and the two cars to my left, one going left the other continuing straight, and I started rolling into the intersection. We all get about halfway through the intersection when this white Prius going east barrels through the red light. Cars were laying on their horns, but the Prius didn’t even flinch. I’d guess if I was about 10-15 feet further along I would have been hit. Ugh, sketchy.

Tonight was the first night I was riding home that I’ve been cold this season. I had my jacket in my backpack, but I didn’t think I needed it when I left work and was too lazy to stop and put it on. Overall, other than the near miss, the ride home was great.
