Commute Loop – 2024.02.07

I was disappointed to not be able to ride on Monday despite the rain. Goes with the supervision of student employees. Trying something different on my commutes now. I’ve reset my power zones and updated my Garmin to alert on Zone 2 power versus heart rate. I have to say it’s quite a jarring change and is going to take some getting accustomed to.

Sadly trying to stay in that zone while climbing home is next to impossible. So I just smashed it from Reunion and Anthem Pkwy the rest of the way home. There are a few descents and flats that were great spots to grab a couple breaths before continuing on. I felt like the lungs and heart were up for it, but the legs are definitely lacking.
