Another beautiful day for a ride. Wanted to get out and get this ride in before the 20-30 MPH winds that were forecast came into town. Just made it. The southbound portion along the Cactus Wren trail was tough with a slight headwind.

The weather was absolutely amazing today for a ride. Had a slight head wind when riding east which meant for a nice tail wind going uphill riding west. Felt really good after.
Decided to give clockwise a try today. Think I’ll stick with counter-clockwise. Counter-clockwise offers a shorter downhill to start and longer climb back. Clockwise is a very long downhill and then short but steeper climb.
Finally getting back on the bike after a few years.

About time to wrap up my series of quotes from Ken Ilgunas’ book Trespassing Across America. Two more but from much removed sections of the book. From Chapter 11, The Electrician: It’s a cliche and misleading to say that we’re ‘transformed’ by our journeys. No one is ever really transformed…
Have a couple more quotes to share from Ken Ilgunas’ book Trespassing Across America. From Chapter 8, The Ogre and the Leprechaun: On this trip, the locals had every reason to keep their distance and be suspicious, and even treat me with a sort of guarded contempt. Yet they had…
